The Society has been making continual adjustments in the lead-up to the 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May, however in light of the spread of coronavirus infections, we have decided to make use of a written format for the dissemination of information and for voting. A written voting form will be sent to all regular members who hold voting rights, to be completed and returned to the secretariat by the given deadline. We ask members for their understanding and cooperation in this regard, being necessary measures for the start of business this year. As the AGM is conducted in Japanese each year, the written format and voting documentation this time will accordingly be only in Japanese. For finding this unmanageable, they should make their submission via the appropriate proxy-form (POA) option.

The presentation by Ms Nomura Yuko, recipient of the 7th Society for the Study of Japonisme Young Researcher’s Award, scheduled to coincide with the AGM, is being postponed to fall or somewhat later. As soon as the schedule is decided upon, an appropriate announcement will be posted on the homepage.
